Our story
A Family Legacy, Carved in Stone

Our story began with our father, a master craftsman who spent more than 40 years creating extraordinary rock formations around the world.
After years of traveling for large projects, he wanted to spend more time with his daughters. So he brought his talents home to California and began creating custom rockwork for private homes.
Growing up, we spent our summers working alongside him. We learned the art of shaping, carving, coloring and bringing concrete to life.
We learned how to make a rock look like it had been sitting there for centuries. How to build a waterfall that flows naturally through a landscape. And how the smallest details make the difference between something that looks manufactured and something that feels real.
Those summers became the foundation of Cement Sisters.
Over the years we've taken everything our father taught us and kept developing our own techniques, artistic styles and creative approaches. Today we bring that craftsmanship to every project, combining generations of experience with fresh ideas and a genuine love for making something extraordinary.
It's more than a trade we learned. It's an art we grew up with.
Where it began
Our father's rockwork at Lake Havasu still stands today.
Growing up, we spent our summers working alongside him. We learned the art of shaping, carving, coloring and bringing concrete to life.

Our approach
Built by Hand. Made to Belong.
Great rockwork is about more than shaping concrete. It's understanding how stone forms in nature, how water moves through a landscape, and how color, texture and proportion work together.
Imagine
Every project begins with a conversation. We listen to what you picture, explore what's possible, and shape ideas that suit the property, the architecture and the surroundings.
Create
Our work is shaped by hand, using techniques developed over decades. From the structure underneath to the smallest surface detail, we build the textures that give each piece its personality.
Bring It to Life
Color is one of the most important parts of realistic rockwork. We layer stains, natural variation and hand-finishing to give every formation depth and character.
Make It Last
Beautiful work should stand the test of time. We build for durability and long-term appearance. With good construction and care, quality rockwork lasts for decades.
Why Cement Sisters
Experience You Can See. Craftsmanship You Can Feel.

Our techniques were passed down through decades of hands-on work, then refined through years of our own projects.

An artist's eye
Realistic rock depends on understanding natural formations, color, movement and texture. That skill only comes with experience.
New work and restoration
Because we know how rockwork is built, we know how to repair, restore and transform it.
Built for the long term
We make features meant to be enjoyed for generations, not just admired on the day they're finished.
Creative problem solvers
We love unusual projects, hard designs and ideas that need thinking beyond ordinary construction.
Reviews
In Our Clients' Words
This talented team produces such high-quality, beautiful and unique outdoor rock art. They work with your vision and execute it exactly as desired, even going above and beyond.
Our previous rock work was completely falling apart and they were able to restore it to perfect condition. They are true artists.
They have helped turn our back yard into a magical oasis! From carving dinosaurs in our cave to amazing "wood" railings and "wood" benches, they even made us a magical tree arch!
We have a 53 foot water slide that is 13 years old. Not only did the slide perform and look better than the original, the customer service was exemplary and totally professional.
